The Bookshelf

There are two goals to this page: (1) introduce to you a little of what I have on my bookshelf and (2) encourage myself to finish a book.

I love books, and I love to read. Unfortunately, though, I get bored very quickly. For years, it’s been a habit of mine to buy a book, start reading it, and then get so bored of it that I lay the book on my bookshelf before learning of its ending. This has lead me to collect hundreds of books that overflow my bookshelf, spill to the floor, and start collecting dust while I make a Barnes & Noble trip to buy a new book.

I know, I know; I’m very ashamed of myself as well.

I’ve done this so many times that I began donating a mass quantity of my books to my local public library every year.

My hope with this page is that it supports me in getting motivated to read the books I have on my shelf to completion so that I can share with you my feelings about the book.

Now, that being said, I’ve never written a book review nor do I plan to. So if you’re looking for a literary analysis of the books presented below, you’ve come to the wrong page.

However, if you are just browsing the shelves, or looking for suggestions on a book to read, please, continue to scroll down the page and take a look at what books I’ve got my nose stuck in.
